Oedipus is brought up by his dad, isolated from the rest of the world. He manipulates his son to create a better version of himself. Arriving at matureness, Oedipus wants to discover what he had once been deprived of. On his journey to discover the world, he finds love for the first time.
“As one of my first jobs composing for visual media just after graduating my undergad during COVID, I chose to approach this non-narrative film with a minimal selection of distinct sounds, acoustic and electronic. The visuals were captured using analog film and so I felt it necessary that I reflect this sonically by manipulating clean sounds to feel warped and aged while maintaining a contemporary sonic world. I also recorded a live choir made of fellow students at university in Berlin of which is the least tampered with piece of audio in the film.”
