The Sample Factory

In 2021, my obsession with cassette tape sampling began. With COVID still very much impacting work and studies, I found it soothing to have a fixation on the tangibilty of listening to and sampling tapes. You can find out more about tape here.

I decided to share the all the tapes I had collected, sampled or just held near and dear to my heart by uploading them with their inlays for people to buy online. I found a community through such a niche interest and it seemed to mostly be down to the fact that I made it obvious this was a queer-owned business first and foremost.

Unfortunatley, due to government requirements I was unable to reach a quota in sales to keep the project going but the impact it made on my practice as a musician and general life, seeking community means more than an official stamp of approval.
